THIS SPRING IS GREAT IT ELIMINATES THE SPONGY FEELING OF THE STOCK ROADSTAR SPRING GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR ROADSTAR. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS GETTING A SPRING COMPRESOR TO TAKE OFF THE OLD SPRING AND PUT THE NEW ONE ON. TOOK IT TO A DEALER THEY COULDN'T PUT IT ON AUTOMOTIVE MACHINE SHOP COULDN'T. FINALLY I BOUGHT AN INEXPENSIVE SPRING REMOVER AND GROUND IT TILL HALF WOULD FIT.

I purchased this spring for my 2000 Roadstar Silverado from NoPork just prior to Star Days in Ogden Utah this year. I ride two-up all of the time and found that with my wife aboard we managed to bottom out the rear suspension a lot. After adding the 1,000lb spring, that all stopped and the bike handled 100% better.

Not having all of the necessary tools to make the conversion, I took the Roadie to Power Yamaha just ouside of Salem Oregon and they did the wrenching.

It has made a great addition to the bike and the ride is not harsh at all. I am very pleased.

Just installed the spring. It seems to be a little bigger in inner diameter but I guess it'll work.
Something has to help. Even by myself, I found I bottomed out way too often. I got the spring changed at an automotive shop using their McPherson Strut spring tool. All we had to do was to turn the shock upside down in the compressor and put a bolt through the bottom mounting holes of the shock (to give the compressor something to grab on to) and it worked great. I'll let you know soon how the spring itself works.

I had the Eibach spring put on my Road Star by Jim Travis over at JimaRay but I think Jim told me he bought it from Nopork. When I ordered the 1,000 lb spring, I was riding with the PCS lowering kit but I decided I just didn't like the feel of the bike lowered so I put the stock bones back on. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the heavier spring, but I can tell you the ride has been very comfortable. Now that I have had the chance to feel the difference, I would say the stock spring is too mushy. You'll like the Eibach even for just one up riding.

There is NOTHING like it. No bottoming-out & no more BOIIIIINNGG. If your lowered, this will help while going over speed bumps. You can experience a bump at any speed & NOT feel like a Jack in the box. It assists in having control of your ride at ALL times.

Great!! Great!! Great!! I have a 05 V-Star Silverado and do a lot of 2 up riding. With me and the wife, lots of spongy and bottoming out on rides. Bought the 1000 lb spring and had the local shop put it on for 10 bucks. Man o Man, what a difference. Firm but compliant ride. Just finish up a 106 mile ride with the wife and she loves it. The only way to improve this spring would be to chrome plate it. I recommend this spring to anyone who wants a better ride. Go No Pork!!
