WIND WHIPPERS INSTRUCTIONS

To keep bolts/nuts from coming loose, first wrap some plumbers™ tape on the bolts! Place bracket second hole from bottom of frame.

Put short bolt through frame from back side.

Put steel on washer, then acorn nut.

Place plastic on top of aluminum bracket.

Put long bolt up from bottom; then rubber washer (against plastic); then steel washer; then acorn nut.

(If you prefer, you can reverse the bolt/nut position: Long bolt on top; then steel washer; then rubber washer against plastic; then aluminum bracket; then acorn nut on bottom.)

Please note: Bikes with National Cycle/Memphis windshields or Yamaha V-Stars may have to turn the Wind Whippers brackets upside-down for a better fit.

Hand snug bolts and adjust plastic so that it does not touch windshield or fork tubes; angle plastic of Wind Whippers downward so that when forks are at full lock the Wind Whippers miss the gas tank by ¼"to ½"and clears cylinder heads on both sides, or air will still flow over the gas tank. If more room is needed for the top portion of the Wind Whippers, loosen your windshield and tilt it back farther as needed. Retighten windshield in new position. The front tip of the Wind Whippers should be positioned about 1"to 2"up from the very bottom of your windshield.

Tighten bolt to frame approximately 15-20 ft. lbs.; tighten bolts and nuts on plastic and bracket to 5-10 ft. lbs. Do not over tighten or plastic may crack.
